Who's dining about town in San Francisco these next two and half weeks? It's that time of the year again, when 2-course prix fixe lunches for $17.95 & 3-course dinners for $34.95 abound all over the City! The list of participating restaurants is a veritable Who's Who of the SF dining scene, with over 100 restaurants to choose from! With so many options, it's hard to make a decision as to where to eat.

Personally, I try to look for restaurants that recently opened that I've been wanting to try out (I'm looking at you, Jasper's Corner Tap & Kitchen!) or some old favorites (i.e. Luna Park, Town Hall, oh my!). Either way, SF Weekly told me I can't take a date out with a Groupon deal (even though I would like to, I just don't wanna look cheap, haha!), so this Dine About Town 2012 is a good alternative.Cool

To help you sift through the many restaurant options at your disposal, we've gone through our entire library of videos to look for a few of those restaurants we've filmed that are participating in Dine About Town, 2012. So go ahead and visit their Jippidy profile so you can read their Yelp reviews, check out their Facebook Fan Pages, see what they're tweeting, but then watch the video to see if it's really a place you'd like to try. Enjoy!

  • Zingari Ristorante - Italiano food in Union Square, romantic ambiance, bonus points for having free live jazz 7 days a week in the bar! Offering Dine About Town specials at Lunch & Dinner.
  • Presidio Social Club - California comfort cuisine in a great location in the Presidio. The food in this video makes me hungry every time I watch it! Offering Dine About Town specials at Lunch & Dinner.
  • ThirstyBear Brewing Company & Spanish Cuisine - a brewery that serves Spanish tapas AND offers free live flamenco shows?! Even without the Dine About Town offer, this place has a lot to offer. Go on Sunday for the FREE live flamenco show, order up a paella & a pint of Golden Vanilla...now that's a Sunday Funday! Offering Dine About Town specials at Dinner.
  • Chez Papa Resto - very sexy ambiance, French cuisine, always rated one of SF's top restaurants in all those Top 100 lists. Note: this is one of our first videos ever, so we were still learning how to film restaurants back when we shot this. In other words, our quality has improved dramatically since then, but it's still worth a watch. Offering Dine About Town specials at Lunch.
  • Nombe - a Japanese Izakaya in the Mission, which means after you've had your fill of tacos and burritos, you can stop by Nombe for Japanese tapas and sake! 90 brands of premium sake, like whoa! Offering Dine About Town specials at Lunch & Dinner.
  • Dosa on Valencia - last, but definitely not least, is one of SF's most popular restaurants, always being recognized as top Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. It was also SF's first restaurant to serve South Indian cuisine. They have locations in the Mission and the Fillmore, we filmed the Mission location on Valencia Street.
